Yes, this is damage. Actually, the storms keep pouring south east counties with up to eight simultaneous severe and tornado warnings. Downtown has not been affected yet as I was hoping, but there is a small cell forming west of Chicago that Im looking forward to see if hit us to get some nice photo shots. I just cant wait, love this wild midwest weather.

I use my mountain-bike everyday to go to work and do my errands no matter what. Many people don't and probably the price of gas has to be really up over $5 a gallon to make people think about commuting or move around this completely flat city on a bike. The Bike Drive it is an interesting but very expensive initiative. I rather drive my bike for free the whole bike path along the lakeshore and the beaches and spend those $50 in a great lunch and ice cream. Riding should be free even in these events.

I do not attend parades normally, can't stand crowds, but today Iwas on my way to the beach and noticed the flags and the traffic downtown quite screwed. Then I realized the MD parade was taking place. Good chance to sit on the curb and start shooting relaxed. It's sunny, but lake effect breeze still feels chilly in the shade. On State St. was very pleasant taking shots and playing Ambean on the iPod.

Took one decade to bring the tiny smarts to USA, but now that gas prices got everybody thinking in creative, cheaper ways to make it to work downtown, it just came handy and on time. So far its a whole fun watch americans looking at it with those faces, like saying what the heck kind of weird thingy is running!. Well, its never the size of a Lincoln Continental.

La Salle at midnight hour. All week riding alone my bike late in the evening to check on my servers and find if they are running. Several days ago they went down out of the blue. I can't afford that with this deadline. This my street has such a different look by night compared with the frenzy going on by noon at lunch time. Amazes me this city seems to sleep at times, not like New York that never stops. Sometimes I like to stop and look at the people around. All buildings shifts the executives for cleaning maids and manteinance crews until next day. I get to talk to them sometimes, mostly mexicans, russians and eastern european immigrants...who knows. Black people is mostly at security desks and lobbys and we joke. They are the nicest and friendly. They get used to see me coming to work late in shorts and flip flops. I guess it is the advantage of working in a such creative company and Im greatful for that.
